Darul
Uloom Anware Raza: A Story of Growth, Generosity, and Islamic Education
Establishment of Darul Uloom Anware Raza
By the grace and favour of the Almighty Allah, Darul
Uloom Anware Raza was established 12th Ramadhan, 1406 AH (23rd May, 1986),
Thursday, under the guardianship of Peere Tarikat Hazrat Allama Mufti Mohammad
Mujeeb Ashraf Sahib Qibla Razvi in Tapadwad, Navsari.
Commencement of Classes:
On 1st Rabiul Awwal, 1407 AH (5th
November, 1698), Molana Ghulam Mustafa, the founder, commenced classes with his
nephew, Zahoor Ahmad.
First Convocation Ceremony at Darul Uloom Anware Raza:
The first convocation ceremony took place on 11th
Rajab, 1408 AH (1st March, 1988), Sunday, under the guidance of Huzoor Ashraful
Fuqaha Sahib Qibla Razvi.
Foundation of First Building of Darul Uloom Anware Raza:
Alhamdulillah, by the grace and favor of Almighty
Allah, on 3rd Shaban 1409 AH (12th March, 1989), the foundation stone was laid
by Shaarahe Bukhari, Huzoor Mufti Sharifulhaq Sahab Amjadi Qibla (May Allah
bestow His bounty upon him!).
Inauguration of First Building of Darul Uloom Anware Raza:
In
January 1991 (Rajab, 1411), the two-storey building, comprising 13 rooms, a
hall, and the Raza Prayer Hall, was inaugurated by Huzoor Ashraful Fuqaha Sahib
Qibla Razvi.
Masjide Raza:
On 19th Rabiul Awwal 1423 AH (1st June, 2002),
Saturday, a two-story magnificent mosque named Masjide Raza was built,
expanding the total structure area to about 4000 sq. ft. This mosque
accommodates approximately one thousand men for Salah at one time.
Opening of Madrasa for Girl Students (Raza Flat-1):
Recognizing the importance of girls’ Islamic
education, the committee of Darul Uloom took responsibility for their
education. With the favour of Almighty Allah and the efforts of Hazrat Allama
Ghulam Mustafa Sahib, classes began on 5th September, 2005, with 25 girl
students under the supervision of expert and passionate teachers. Raza Flat, a
two-story building initially intended as a source of income, was allotted for
their classes and accommodation.
Barkati Masjid:
The
rapid progress of Darul Uloom Anware Raza by leaps and bounds quickly attracted
the interest and support of the community. Among the generous benefactors was
the late Haji Rafi Miyan Burhani (May Allah forgive his sins!), who donated a
1050 sq. ft. piece of land in Navsari at Mahalla Silotwad. On this land, a
mosque named Barkati Masjid was established. The expenses for the
ground floor were covered by Janab Haji Danayal Bhai from Bhiwandi, along with
contributions from other magnanimous individuals. Within just six months, the
mosque was completed, and people began offering five-time Salah. On Friday, 6th
July 2006, the first Bayan was delivered, and the Juma (Friday Prayer) was led
by Huzoor Ashraful Fuqaha Sahib Qibla Razvi. This marvellous three-floor mosque
now stands prominently in Navsari.
New Building of Madrasa for Girl Students (Raza Flat-2):
By the grace of Allah, the Madrasa for girl students
witnessed immense progress since its inception. An increasing number of young
women sought to acquire Islamic knowledge, but the existing building could not
accommodate the influx of new students. This led to the regrettable situation
where many aspiring students had to be turned away, causing great distress to
the committee.
Seeking
the pleasure of Allah and guidance from the Holy Quran and Sunnah, the
committee decided to expand the facilities. They purchased a plot of land
covering an area of 1800 sq. ft. and constructed a grand two-storey building,
named Raza Flat 2, solely dedicated to the Islamic education of girls. This new
edifice, a manifestation of the community's commitment to knowledge and faith,
was officially opened on 26th January, 2008, with prayers and supplications for
its success.
Royal English Medium School:
Recognizing the signs of the times and the need to
impart both religious and contemporary education, the committee of Darul Uloom
Anware Raza, by the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, planned to establish an
English medium school under its auspices. Soon, this noble endeavour came to
fruition, and the Royal English Medium School was inaugurated on 22nd June,
2009, with prayers and supplications for its success. In its initial days, the
school humbly began by offering classes for Play Group and Nursery students,
nurturing the young minds with knowledge and instilling in them the love for
learning.
Raza Dining Hall:
From the very inception of Darul Uloom Anware Raza,
a dining hall was sorely needed, where students could partake in their meals in
comfort and tranquility. By the grace of Allah, plans were made to construct a
spacious dining hall spanning 1300 sq. ft. However, arranging the necessary
resources was not an easy task. It was through the tireless efforts of the
esteemed Hafiz Ismail Sahab Malawi that this noble project found its sponsors
in the generous Haji Uthman and Brothers (O.G. ISA Group, Malawi).
Alhamdulillah, upon completion of the construction,
the Raza Dining Hall was inaugurated on 29th May, 2010, by the honorable and
respected Hazrat Allama Mufti Ashraful Fuqaha, with prayers and supplications
for its blessings.
Study/Prayer Hall for Girl Students:
After
the establishment of the Raza Dining Hall, Darul Uloom Anware Raza recognized
the pressing need for a dedicated hall where the female students could not only
offer their Salah (prayers) in a spacious and serene environment but also
comfortably partake in their meals and engage in their studies. Once again, the
noble-hearted Haji Uthman and Brothers (O.G. ISA Group, Malawi) extended their
generous support towards this virtuous cause. By the grace of Allah, the
construction of this multipurpose hall was completed in 2013, providing the
young women with a conducive space for their spiritual, physical, and
intellectual nourishment.
Hostel Facilites:
At
Darul Uloom Anware Raza, striving tirelessly and placing our trust in Allah
Almighty, we have made every possible effort to provide the best possible
residential facilities to our students, who have dedicated themselves to the
pursuit of knowledge. By the grace of Allah, we have ensured that every student
enjoys a comfortable and conducive living environment. Each student is provided
with their own bed and essential amenities free of cost, allowing them to focus
their energies on their studies without any worldly distractions. We seek the
pleasure of Allah in facilitating these young minds on their journey of
acquiring knowledge, as enjoined by our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him)
Burje Ashraful Fuqha Building
Despite the numerous buildings already constructed,
the committee of Darul Uloom Anware Raza remained unsatisfied, driven by their
unwavering commitment to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge. They
tirelessly strived, seeking the aid and pleasure of Allah Almighty, to
establish a separate building dedicated solely to classrooms.
In this noble endeavor, they found support in the
generous Haji Faizal Bhai from Fazaya, Malawi, Africa, who offered to bear all
the expenses for the construction. Upon completion, the building initially
comprised 14 rooms. However, the esteemed Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha desired the
addition of four more rooms. By the grace of Allah, one of his devoted
disciples from the Memon community, whose name we are forbidden to disclose,
took upon himself the responsibility of constructing these additional rooms.
On the auspicious day of 7th Rabiul Awwal, 1434,
corresponding to 20th January, 2013, this magnificent edifice was officially
inaugurated by the honorable Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha himself, and appropriately
named after him. Today, the Burje Ashraful Fuqha Building stands tall, boasting
three stories and housing 20 classrooms, serving as a beacon of knowledge and a
testament to the community's unwavering dedication to the pursuit of Islamic
learning.
Royal English Medium School
By the grace of Allah, the Royal
English Medium School continued to flourish, and when it received permission to
offer first-grade education, the need for a dedicated building became
paramount. To fulfil this requirement swiftly, the committee purchased a
pre-existing house spanning over 2700 sq. ft., where students continued their
studies until a new purpose-built structure could be constructed.
New Building of Royal English Medium School
Alhamdulillah, the long-cherished
desire and dream to establish an attractive and impressive building for the
Royal English Medium School was realized. The ambitious project required Rs. 4
crores, which the committee managed through the noble concept of Qarza Hasan
(debt for the sake of Allah for a specified period). By the grace of the
Almighty, the construction was soon completed, and the building was inaugurated
on 16th August 2019, after Asr prayer, by the sacred hands of Shahzada Shafeeqe
Millat Hazrat Allama Sayyid Hashmi Miya (may Allah preserve him), also known as
Peer Baapu, and Hazrat Allama Molana Dr. Sayyid Shams Tabrez Saheb from
Bangalore, in the presence of other distinguished Ulemas.
(Note:
The 16th of August was chosen for the inauguration as it marks the anniversary
commemoration of Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha.)
New Building of Madrasa for Girl Students
The new three-storey building for
the girls' madrasa comprises 22 residential rooms, 3 classrooms, and 1 library,
along with two family quarters. Through the generosity of philanthropists who
bore the costs, this splendid edifice was fully equipped with all modern
facilities. On the auspicious evening of 4 Rajab, 1435 (May 4th, 2014, Sunday),
at 7:30 pm, this magnificent building was inaugurated by the sacred hands of
Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha.
Initially,
on the inaugural day, it contained 12 rooms. Subsequently, in 2017, additional
residential rooms, classrooms, and family quarters were added, ensuring ample
space and resources for the students' holistic development under the guidance
of esteemed teachers.
Mufti-e-Azam Boys Hostel
Alhamdulillah,
responding to the need for accommodations for male students, the committee
successfully established the Mufti-e-Azam Boys Hostel. Comprising three stories
and 30 rooms, along with a ground floor, this hostel serves as a residence for
students of Alimiyat, Hifz, and Qirat. On 16th October 2016, the sacred hands
of Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha inaugurated this building. The generous support of
philanthropists, who sponsored the construction of individual rooms, made this
endeavour easier.
Masjide Sulemani:
One
of the most esteemed members of the Darul Uloom Anware Raza committee,
honourable Feeroz Bhai, along with his brothers, generously donated a piece of
land in Aman Park Society for the establishment of a mosque. This noble
endeavor resulted in the creation of Masjide Sulemani, a magnificent mosque
that plays a pivotal role in strengthening the Ahle Sunnat-wa-Jama’at
community. Furthermore, Masjide Sulemani serves as a center for imparting
Islamic teachings to both boys and girls after Zohar and Maghrib prayers.
Masjide Raza Maroli
In
the village of Maroli, located 10 km away from Navsari, the absence of a mosque
of Ahle Sunnat-wa-Jama’at posed significant challenges for the local
inhabitants in offering Salah. In response to this need, Alhamdulillah, Darul
Uloom Anware Raza took proactive steps, and on January 5th, 2020, the
foundation stone of Masjide Raza was laid by Huzoor Sarkar Ameen Millat and
Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha. Within a short span of time, Masjide Raza was
inaugurated on Thursday, March 11th, 2021, during the blessed occasion of
Merajunnabi 27th Rajab 1442.
Masjide Ghareeb Nawaz, Kadodara
In
the village of Kadodara, situated 18 km away from Surat city, there was no
mosque of the Ahle Sunnat-wa-Jama'at, causing great distress to the local
community, who longed for a place to offer their prayers in peace. By the
favour of Allah, the committee of Darul Uloom Anware Raza took upon itself the
responsibility of establishing a mosque in this village. Currently, the
construction of this mosque is underway.
Masjide Raza Jain Gaon, Bengal
Masjide Raza Vandarvela
Alhamdulillah, the construction of
mosques under the auspices of Darul Uloom Anware Raza continues. In the village
of Vandarvela, approximately 45 km from Navsari and 15 km from Chikhli, there
existed no mosque in the vicinity. However, we can now rejoice that due to the
strenuous efforts of the esteemed Hafiz Qari Muhammad Iqbal Sahab, who resides
in the village, and the honourable Haji Anas Bhai Razvi and respected Haji
Sayeed, a grand mosque has been built to convey rewards to the late Haji Rustam
Bhai.
Ahsanul Ulema Tower
Alhamdulillah,
the committee of Darul Uloom Anware Raza has always been committed to providing
the best facilities to its staff. As part of this endeavour, the establishment
of a family quarter was also planned. Initially, Raza Flat-1, where girls'
education had commenced, was allocated for staff accommodation after the girls'
madrasa flourished.
Subsequently,
recognizing the need for additional quarters, Ahsanul Ulema Tower was
established and inaugurated by Huzoor Ameen Millat and Huzoor Ashraful Fuqha.
Barkati Manzil
To further
support the needs of the teaching staff, Darul Uloom Anware Raza purchased a
two-story house and allocated it to the teachers after necessary repairs. This
initiative, known as Barkati Manzil, ensures that the teachers have suitable
accommodations, allowing them to focus on their noble task of imparting
knowledge and guidance to the students.
Conclusion and prayers
In
conclusion, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported Darul
Uloom Anware Raza. May Allah bless them abundantly in this life and the
