Importance of Education

Respected teachers and dear friends, Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of the universe. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all his dear ones.

اعوذ باللہ من الشیطان۝ الرجیم بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم۝ اقرأ باسمک ربک الذی خلق۞

Respected gathering! Let’s send Durood and Salaam with complete love, respect, and dedication upon our beloved Prophetﷺ.

اللهم صل وسلم و بارك علی سيدنا و مولانا محمد و علی آله و صحبه أجمعين.

At the beginning of my speech, I would like to thank my loving teacher for giving me this wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts with you all. Dear friends! I have immense pleasure standing in front of you and talking about the relevant topic “Importance of Education.”

Nowadays, the importance of education is well known to everyone. We, as Muslims, have been commanded many times to seek knowledge. We can understand the importance and significance of getting education by the first revealed verse of the Holy Quran, which was none other than اقرأ, meaning "read and seek knowledge". Our beloved Prophetﷺ said, “Seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim, male and female.” We should understand how important education is. On the other hand, he advised us to seek knowledge even if we have to suffer a lot, even if we have to leave our homes and travel far from them.

Now, I would like to end my talk with this prayer: May Allah Ta'ala bless us all with the best knowledge and give us the Tawfiq to live according to the Quran and Sunnah. Ameen.
